I try to act busy and nervously glance down at myself to make sure I’m decent. Well, as decent as I can be without freaking panties. Jace shredded them, but now they’re nowhere to be seen, a little fact that puts me on edge.

Did he take them? I checked the trash can, but they weren’t in there either. I might be quitting my job and leaving everything behind me when I clock out later today, but I’m not about to leave my panties here.

Stone’s gaze hits mine, and one of his eyebrows rises while the corner of his mouth twitches with amusement. The move makes his features less menacing. He’s a tad more muscled than Jace, but both of them are twice the size of any man I’ve ever met.

Stone has a sparkling stud in his left ear, a short-trimmed dark beard, and brown eyes. He’s handsome, though he doesn’t spark anything inside me. Not with Jace standing next to him.

Somewhat like me and Jace. Though at the time, neither Jace nor I was in a relationship. And that right there is the biggest freaking difference. Maybe I needed this to happen to open my eyes and spend some time learning what else is out there before I lock myself back into a relationship.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Live a little. Or a lot. Whatever. I should definitely get Jace’s number and maybe meet up from time to time if I feel the need for some action between my legs.

I blink a few times and bring my head back into the discussion Jace and Stone are having, but I seem to have missed something because the both of them are staring at me. “What? Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.”

A knowing grin slides across Jace’s face, making me aware he’s probably thinking my mind was on us having sex.
